Cade Wood comes from a large, hardy evergreen shrub in the Cupressaceae (cypress) family. Historically, the oil has been used in folk medicines and its scent is evident in soaps, detergents, lotions and fragrances. Notably, in the perfume industry, cade wood has been sought-after for its pine elements as a base note in men's fragrances. In manufacturing, it's used as an ingredient in creams, ointments and anti-dandruff shampoos.
